The Peter D. Seligman Center for Advanced Therapeutics was established in 2003 with the support of a grateful patient to bring state-of-the-art basic research developments to the clinical care of patients. Relocated to CMC upon its opening in 2012, the Center is the Division of Rheumatology’s own contribution to the rapid pace of discovery in molecular medicine and increasing nationwide advocacy programs for rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.
The Seligman Center is dedicated to clinical trials in rheumatic diseases including Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Behçet’s Syndrome, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Sjögren’s Syndrome. It is a key site for numerous nationally conducted clinical studies, trials and registries, and is staffed by physicians with unique expertise in these diseases. Seligman physicians are directly involved in the development of protocols for testing the effectiveness and safety of cutting-edge investigational therapies.
